Your words
stay yours.

Scripts on your device

Your scripts, library and reading preferences are saved on your device. You don’t need a CueLilt account. We don’t upload your library or use advertising trackers or analytics in the app. Each device has its own library; scripts aren’t automatically shared between devices.

Files you choose to import or export

CueLilt reads the TXT, PDF or DOCX files you select and opens their text as a draft for you to review. You choose where to export scripts, recordings and captions. If you save a file to a cloud service or share it with another app, that service handles it under its own settings and policies.

Optional voice following

Follow my voice uses your microphone and Apple’s on-device speech recognition to find your place in the script. It needs your permission and a supported device language. This audio isn’t sent to a server or saved by voice following. Recognised words are only used temporarily to guide the reader. Pausing voice following or leaving the reader stops it listening.

You can decline microphone or speech access and still use the reader at a set pace. Change these permissions at any time in your device’s privacy settings.

Recordings and captions

When you choose Record, CueLilt saves your take on your device with a copy of the script you used. Video recording needs camera and microphone access; audio recording needs microphone access. Recording continues when you pause the prompter, until you stop the recording or leave the reader.

Automatic captions use on-device speech recognition. You may need an internet connection to download a speech language first. Saved captions and your edits stay with the take until you choose to export them.

Reviewing your take

CueLilt compares recognised speech with the script on your device to help you notice possible wording differences. The recording and script aren’t uploaded for review. Transcripts and comparisons are saved with the take.

Controlling another device

Local remote control needs permission to find CueLilt devices on your network. Pairing connects the devices directly to exchange reading controls and status. It doesn’t transfer your script or recordings, and doesn’t use a CueLilt server.

Keeping or removing your work

Move a take to trash to remove it from your active library. Its recording, saved script, captions and review remain on the device so you can restore it. Deleting a library script doesn’t remove copies saved with existing takes. Files you have exported remain wherever you saved them. Removing the app may remove its local data, so export anything you want to keep first. Device backups follow your Apple backup settings.

Apple testing

If you test CueLilt through TestFlight, Apple handles installation and may collect testing diagnostics or feedback under its own policies. Please review Apple’s privacy information.
